Our Story…

 Our story began in August 2014 when a group of people gathered in a bowling alley in Clayton, North Carolina, with a dream to see the gospel change our community.

In February 2015, we launched as a church. We searched for years for a permanent building to call home. Finally, in May 2024, we moved into our new home at the heart of Clayton, NC.

We believe the most significant change we can bring to Clayton and the community is to make disciples. A disciple is someone who is following Jesus, becoming like Jesus, and helping others do the same. We are all in on Jesus’ mission of making disciples, and we want to invite you to help us continue carrying out His mission in Clayton.

 

Our Vision…

…is to be disciple-making followers of Jesus. Now that we’re settled into our downtown Clayton building and have expanded our space, we’re already seeing how God is using it to reach more people, welcome new families, and create room for our church to grow.

This building has increased our visibility, provided more seats in both services, and opened new opportunities for our GenKids and GenStudents ministries to thrive. Every week, we see more and more people taking steps toward Jesus because there is space for them to belong.

As we continue to pay off our building through For the Kingdom, we’re preparing for an even greater impact ahead. Paying off the down payment will allow us to invest more into our community through financial assistance and our new El Roi ministry, strengthen our local partnerships, and support global missions.

A NOTE FROM PASTOR JARRET

Several years ago, my pastor told me to say YES to whatever would make the greatest impact for the Kingdom of God in the shortest amount of time. To this day, I live with those words in my heart, and I regularly ask the Holy Spirit, “Is what I am doing making the greatest impact for Your Kingdom?” This prayer led us to gather a group of families in a bowling alley more than ten years ago, with a vision to plant a church that would greatly impact the Kingdom. We believed God was calling us to make this impact in Clayton, which is why we are #forclayton. Clayton matters. Clayton is who we are. Clayton is where we always want to be. This building has allowed us to further our impact for the Kingdom of God in Clayton in an even more significant way. It has given us the ability to increase our presence in the community, reach and build more disciple-making followers of Jesus, and expand our capacity to respond to the needs around us with even greater generosity. I want to invite you to join me in saying YES to sacrificial giving so that we may increase our impact “FOR THE KINGDOM.”

FAQ:

  • 100% of all funds donated to the Building Fund will go toward paying off the down payment and mortgage.

  • Our original down payment was $700,000. We currently owe $317,250, and $217,250 is already covered. If we can raise $100,000, we will be able to pay it off in full!

  • We have about $2,000,000 remaining to pay off our loan in full.
